The iconic picture of Bhutan.
Sensor: Panasonic DMC-LX3
Location: Tiger’s Nest, Bhutan
Took this photo on the third day of our trip to Bhutan, located near Paro. It took more than two hours to get from the base of the mountain to this point and it was still another 90 minutes walk to the temple. From here, you have to walk down and backup the side of the mountain.
I believe about 3-5 monks stay on the mountain to take care of it. The living quarters are actually not here but located along another path on the way to the Tiger’s Nest.
The picture below are prayer flag’s hung near a water fall just below the Tiger’s Nest.
Picture taken by my wife.

Thank you! It’s funny how we annoy the ones that love us the most.
